Applications:
- All air cooled rooftop packaged unit systems (not dependant upon heating type) in retrofit/upgrade situations or add to new equipment to upgrade capacity and EER performance
- Air-Cooled Chillers (retrofit/upgrade or new installation)
- Split-System air-conditioning and heat pump systems
- Rack refrigeration systems
What is EER+?
The EER+ is a heat exchange system that uses two normally wasted components, condensate water and indoor exhaust air, to increase the overall system capacity and efficiency.
How does EER+ work?
- First, exhausted indoor air (or simply outdoor air) is directed through a medium wetted by the condensate water from the air conditioning system. This creates cool air at the wet bulb temperature.
- Next, this air is forced over a heat exchanger that has refrigerant routed from the condenser exit of the air conditioning system. This further subcools the refrigerant and increases system capacity.
- Finally, this air is once again directed over a medium wetted by the condensate water and over a heat exchanger that has refrigerant routed from the compressor exit of the air conditioning system. This de-superheats the refrigerant and increase the efficiency by lowering system head pressure.
What are the benefits of EER+?
Increased efficiency of up to 40% or more, lowering your overall operating costs.
Works with all brands of HVAC&R equipment.
Increased capacity allowing for additional temperature comfort.
Improved, more favorable, operating conditions extending equipment life.
Warranty
We warrant the parts of both our EER+ retrofit technology and any modifications made to the existing HVAC&R unit for 12 months after installation. Extended warranties are available.
